Learning Outcomes (Based on EYLF):

Lesson Plan:

1. Introduction to Korean Language (20-25 minutes):

Introduce the Korean language to the children. Play audio recordings of simple Korean words and phrases, such as greetings, numbers, colors, and common objects. Encourage the children to listen attentively and repeat the words after the recordings.

2. Interactive Learning (15-20 minutes):

Use an interactive whiteboard or projector to display images of common objects and their corresponding Korean words from the picture dictionary. Involve the children in interactive activities like matching words to images and playing simple games that reinforce the vocabulary.

3. Art Activity: Visual Vocabulary Cards (20-25 minutes):

Provide art supplies for the children to create their own visual vocabulary cards. They can draw pictures of the objects they’ve learned and write the corresponding Korean words. This activity encourages creativity and reinforces language learning through visual and tactile experiences.

4. Sharing and Reflection (15-20 minutes):

Invite the children to share their visual vocabulary cards with the class and practice saying the Korean words aloud. Reflect on the learning experience, discussing the importance of understanding different languages and cultures.

Assessment:

Assess the children’s participation in the interactive learning and art activities, their ability to pronounce Korean words, and their understanding of the multicultural importance discussed.
