– Construction paper
– Scissors

1. Introduction (10 minutes):
a. Begin by gathering the students in a circle and introduce the book, The Beginner’s Bible, as a collection of stories from the Bible.
b. Discuss the importance of books and storytelling in our lives, linking it to the Te Whฤriki curriculum’s goal of fostering communication, language, and literacy.
c. Introduce the Reggio Emilia approach as a way to explore the central themes of the book through hands-on experiences, creativity, and collaboration.

2. Storytelling and Discussion (15 minutes):
a. Read aloud a selected story from The Beginner’s Bible, such as “Noah’s Ark” or “David and Goliath.”
b. Engage the students in a discussion about the story, encouraging them to share their thoughts, feelings, and observations.
c. Use sticky notes to record their ideas and stick them on a chart paper, creating a visual representation of their thoughts.
